How Should the Site Be Prepared Before Installing My CUBRO Kitchen?
Installing a CUBRO kitchen requires that the space be prepared according to specific conditions. These involve masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and other construction details. Coordination with the professional responsible for the work is key to ensuring everything is ready and to avoid issues on installation day.
General Requirements Before Installation
Space Conditions

The floor must be finished and level, with no unevenness greater than 2 cm.

Walls must be completed, squared at 90°, and painted.

The ceiling must be finished and painted.

The space must be empty, clean, well-lit, ventilated, and with sufficient working space.
Minimum Ceiling Height
Depends on the type of tall cabinet installed:

Masonry and Finishes

Plasterboard walls must include internal reinforcement (MDF or double panel) if cabinets are to be hung.

Recommended reinforcement bands according to cabinet height:

170 to 190 cm → ↕188 cm tall cabinets

190 to 210 cm → ↕208 cm tall cabinets

210 to 230 cm → ↕228 cm tall cabinets

230 to 250 cm → ↕248 cm tall cabinets

Tiling: from 70 to 148.5 cm above the floor (add 20 cm if there is a gas stove).

All painting or plastering work must be completed at least 48 hours before installation.

Baseboards must be removed before installation. The client must reinstall them afterward.
Technical Installations
Plumbing

Angle valves: centered under the sink at 65 cm from the floor.

Drain:

PVC pipe Ø40 mm female at less than 45 cm from the floor

Appliance connections:

Dishwasher and washing machine: within the sink module or adjacent. Never behind the appliance itself.

Second wall drain if there are two appliances.

Gas

The pipe must run flush with the wall, at a maximum of 7.5 cm from the floor, and centered with the cooktop.

CUBRO does not perform gas connections.
Electricity
The installation must be fully completed, with cover plates installed, as once the kitchen is assembled, outlets will not be accessible.
Lighting

Switches installed.

Countertop: 200 cm from the floor + at least 100 cm of cable. If there are multiple zones, one connection per zone.

Decorative hoods: one electrical connection on each side.

Appliance Connections

Refrigerator/freezer: axis at 35 cm from the floor.

Dishwasher/washing machine: 65 cm from the floor, in adjacent module.

Oven/microwave:

High oven: 110 cm from the floor.

Low oven: 65 cm from the floor.

High microwave: 180 cm from the floor.

⚠️ The oven must have a 3x6 mm line protected by a 2x25 A circuit breaker.

Cooktop: axis at 65 cm from the floor, with 100 cm of cable.

⚠️ Same electrical protection as the oven.

Extractor hood: 200 cm from the floor, centered with the cabinet.

Other elements
Overhanging shelves with concealed hardware are not assembled by CUBRO or its assemblers.
