Warping or bowing in your CUBRO doors

If your CUBRO doors are showing curvature or misalignment, it may be due to issues in the initial installation. This guide explains how to check and adjust your doors to ensure perfect alignment and correct operation.

1. Checking the furniture level

Importance of the correct level: The correct level of the furniture is crucial for the optimal functioning of the doors. Improperly leveled furniture can result in doors that do not close properly or appear crooked.

Necessary Tools:

- Spirit Level

Steps to Follow:

- Place the spirit level on the furniture horizontally (side to side) and vertically (front to back).

- Adjust the furniture until the bubble is centered on both axes. This indicates that the furniture is perfectly level.

2. Adjusting the Hinges

Description of the Hinges: Our doors are equipped with IKEA hinges made by Blum, which allow for detailed adjustment via three specific screws.

Function of the Screws:

- First screw: Adjusts the door in and out.
- Second screw: Controls the lateral movement of the door.
- Third screw: Adjusts the height of the door.

Adjustment Procedure:
- Open the door and locate the three screws on the hinge.
- Use a screwdriver to adjust each screw as needed:

  • Adjust the first screw to modify the depth of the door.
  • The second screw for lateral adjustment.
  • The third screw for height.

- Close the door to check the alignment and repeat the adjustments until the door is correctly aligned.

If you need additional help

If after following these steps your doors still show alignment issues, we may need more information to assist you better. In that case, we ask you to send us additional photos including:

- A frontal view of the door.
- The profile of the furniture with the door closed.
- The edge of the open door.
- A measurement of the gap between the furniture and the door, using a ruler or tape measure placed perpendicularly from the adjacent furniture to the most protruding point of the door.

Send these photos via email to the Design Expert with whom you validated your project, and we will assist you as soon as possible.

Additional considerations on natural wood

It is important to remember that our doors are made of 100% natural wood, which can lead to variations due to humidity and the climatic conditions of each destination.

In cases where the wood does not adjust itself completely, we recommend allowing a period of acclimatization of up to 6 months to observe natural changes. After that time, if the door continues to show a deformation greater than 5mm, CUBRO will assume the cost of replacing the door as well as the logistical cost of sending it to the destination at no cost to the customer.

At CUBRO, we are committed to ensuring that every aspect of your furniture functions perfectly. If you have any questions or need additional assistance, do not hesitate to contact the Design Expert responsible for your project.
