Installation Guide: Drawer Adjustement

Detailed guide to adjusting IKEA's MAXIMERA drawers

Adjusting IKEA MAXIMERA drawers is a simple process, although with time and use, it is common for them to need a little tweaking. This can happen for various reasons, such as the weight of the objects stored inside or even changes in the structure of the countertop, especially if it is made of heavy materials such as marble or stone.

But don't worry: adjusting them is very easy and here we show you how to do it in three simple steps.

Steps for drawer adjustment:

  1. Check the level of misalignment: Before adjusting, identify how much the drawer has shifted from its original alignment. Check if the drawer has tilted or moved laterally, which can interfere with smooth operation.

  2. Adjustment in height, width, and depth: CUBRO drawers allow three-dimensional adjustment to ensure perfect closure. Adjust the height to level the drawer with the countertop or other drawers, the width to ensure uniform side spaces, and the depth to optimize opening and closing.

  3. Final review: After adjustments, open and close the drawer several times to ensure the movement is smooth and the closure is perfect.

If you need to align the fronts, you can do it from the drawer side screws, following the IKEA instructions

My drawers collide with each other

Don't worry: this is a very common assembly issue. This is because the small wheel with three holes that is screwed to the front must be screwed into different holes depending on whether it is the last drawer in the row.

  • Last drawer: under the wheel
  • All other drawers: leaving the wheel between the screws
