Cleaning and maintenance tips
Solid Surface is a non-porous composite material made from acrylic resins and minerals. It is widely used in washbasins due to its seamless appearance, water resistance, and ease of repair. However, its smooth surface may show marks if not properly maintained.
- Daily cleaning: Use a soft cloth (preferably microfiber), warm water, and neutral soap. Rinse and ensure no water is left inside the bowl to prevent lime scale or product residues.
- Weekly or deep cleaning:
-
Make a paste with baking soda + water, apply it to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing.
-
For mold, dye, or similar stains: apply a bit of highly diluted bleach or an oxygen-based cleaner, leave for a couple of minutes and rinse.
-
For persistent hard water marks (limescale), diluted white vinegar works well (1 part vinegar, 3 parts water), applied with a soft cloth.
-
Extra
If over time the surface becomes uneven or shows stubborn marks, you can lightly polish it with fine wet sandpaper (grit 800–1000), followed by finer grit (1500–2000) to restore a uniform finish.
CUBRO Classic Ceramic Washbasin
The most classic and well-known option, made from fired and glazed clay. This material has a cool, smooth, and firm feel and is highly resistant over time.
Thanks to its vitrified glaze, it's very easy to clean and maintain, always offering a flawless sense of hygiene.
An ideal choice if you're looking for a durable, classic-style washbasin that's very easy to care for.

Cleaning and maintenance tips
Ceramic washbasins are easy to maintain thanks to their glazed surface, which is resistant to stains and cleaning products. For daily use, simply clean with a soft cloth, water and neutral soap. Drying after each use is not essential, but it helps prevent limescale marks.
For deeper cleaning, use mild limescale removers or white vinegar diluted 50 %. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive bathroom cleaner is recommended.
Avoid metal scourers, abrasive products or harsh cleaners that could damage the glaze. Also, avoid leaving wet metal objects on the surface to prevent marks.

Prevention: do not leave wet metal objects on the basin. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and protect the surface from contact with heat sources.

Repair: minor marks can be removed with a soft sponge or magic eraser and a non-abrasive cleaner. For more visible damage, contact technical support.
What’s not included?
Our basins are delivered without a tap, siphon or waste valve. Here are some tips to help you choose compatible accessories:
-
Tap: universal – choose vertical or wall-mounted depending on the basin.
-
Drain: as the drawer does not have a groove, we recommend using the straight IKEA model:
-
Waste valve/plug: universal – just check the correct hole diameter. We recommend the IKEA model:
Already have a basin?
If you already have your own basin or prefer a different model, you can choose the "no basin" option. In this case, we’ll include the countertop, so you can place a countertop basin of your choice. Please note that the countertop cannot be removed from the order.
