Are you planning to buy a PAX wardrobe and would like to extend its height to the ceiling with a completely unique look? Do you already have a PAX structure and want to do a refacing? We have the solution.
IKEA PAX wardrobes are known for their versatility and ability to adapt to any space. However, with their two standard heights of ↕201 cm and ↕236 cm, they may not perfectly fit all storage needs up to the ceiling or spaces with specific dimensions.
Custom solution with CUBRO top cabinets
We have developed a solution to extend the height of PAX wardrobes by incorporating top cabinets, allowing you to make the most of the room's height while maintaining a uniform and organized style.
⚠️ You should know:
- CUBRO does not manufacture cabinets or doors with the finishes proposed by IKEA. You can check our finishes on our website.
- You will have to buy from IKEA the body and interiors of your cabinets, with ↔50, ↔75 or ↔100cm wide and ↕201 or ↕236 cm high structures. We will fabricate the shelves, doors and side panels.
- If you have a PAX closet with IKEA doors and you want to add top cabinets, you will have to change the doors you currently have and put in doors manufactured by CUBRO if you want the finish of the lower doors and the top cabinets to be the same.
- The top cabinets are meant to be screwed on top of a PAX structure, they cannot be hung on the wall.
Practical design
You can choose the height of your top cabinet to perfectly fit your available space:
- ↕40 cm
- ↕50 cm
- ↕60 cm
The width (↔50, ↔75, or ↔100 cm) and depth (⤡35 or ⤡58 cm) will depend on the PAX structure you choose. Our Design Experts will guide you at every step—just let us know the total floor-to-ceiling height in your room.

Important: These units are designed exclusively for storage and should not be used as seats or benches. Their structure and assembly system are not meant to support weight for daily use as a resting or support surface.
