Fenix HPL (High Pressure Laminate) Countertops

Information about Fenix HPL countertops

Fenix countertops are high-quality surfaces designed for kitchens. They are developed using advanced nanotechnology processes and manufactured with state-of-the-art acrylic resins.

Advantages Of Fenix Countertops

Fenix countertops offer a range of advantages that make them a popular choice for modern kitchens.

  • Scratch and heat resistance: Fenix HPL countertops are highly resistant to scratches and heat, although they should not be directly compared to the durability of a stone countertop. While the surface is very durable and can withstand everyday use, it is recommended to avoid direct contact with sharp knives and hot pots or pans to ensure its longevity and maintain its best appearance over the years.
  • Self-Repairing: One of the most impressive features of Fenix countertops is their self-repairing capability. Minor scratches on the surface can be repaired by applying gentle heat, helping to maintain the flawless appearance of your countertop.
  • Hygienic and easy to clean: Fenix countertops are non-porous, making them hygienic and easy to clean. They won't absorb spills or harbor bacteria, which is a significant benefit for the kitchen environment. All you need is a simple wipe to keep your Fenix countertop clean and fresh.
  • Matte finish: The matte finish of Fenix countertops adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any kitchen design. It's also practical, as it helps reduce the visibility of fingerprints and stains on the surface.
  • Durability: Thanks to the robust construction and high-quality materials used, Fenix countertops are extremely durable. They are designed to withstand the demands of daily use, ensuring they will provide you with good service for many years.
  • Sustainability: The materials used in the construction of Fenix countertops are recyclable. This means that choosing a Fenix countertop not only benefits your kitchen but also contributes to a more sustainable planet.

Regular Cleaning

As with any other interior design material, a FENIX surface should be cleaned periodically. It doesn't require any special maintenance, just a damp cloth with warm water or a mild detergent. Almost all common household cleaning or disinfecting products can be safely used. For most common stains, you can simply wipe the surface with warm water using a non-abrasive cloth.
Tougher stains can be removed with non-abrasive household cleaners or solvents. For older, dry, or clumped stains, use a magic eraser or a soft cloth to remove them. After using any solvent, we recommend rinsing the surface with warm water and detergent. Always rinse thoroughly to remove the detergent with clean, preferably warm water.

For best results when cleaning FENIX, it's important to remember the following tips:

  • Although highly resistant, a FENIX surface should never be treated with products containing abrasive substances, macro-abrasive sponges, or inappropriate materials such as sandpaper or steel wool; strongly acidic or alkaline products should be avoided as they can stain the surface.
  • Bleaches and highly chlorinated products should be avoided as they can degrade the surface. Sodium hypochlorite should be used at concentrations of less than 5% and for no more than 5 minutes at a time, then rinsed with a sponge or towel.
  • Hydrogen peroxide in concentrations of less than 3% should be thoroughly rinsed. For concentrations higher than 3%, we recommend avoiding leaving this solution in contact with the surface for more than 10 consecutive minutes, and the surface should be thoroughly rinsed with a non-abrasive sponge and then dried thoroughly.
  • When using solvents, the cloth used must be perfectly clean to avoid leaving marks on the FENIX surface. However, any marks can be removed by rinsing with hot water and drying thoroughly; do not use furniture waxes or wax-based cleaners in general, as they tend to form a sticky layer on the FENIX surface that attracts and traps dirt.
  • Do not use metal scrapers, iron brushes, or any other metal tool to remove stains, paint, plaster, or other substances from the surface.

Stubborn Stains and Minor Scratches

FENIX surfaces have a unique non-porous outer layer, allowing you to keep them clean with simple daily care and cleaning methods. For tough stains, we recommend using a specific stain cleaner to remove any trace of the stain. After cleaning or using the magic eraser, rinse thoroughly with clean, preferably warm water, to remove any remaining detergent, solvent, or other cleaning agent.

One of the most outstanding features of Fenix countertops is their self-repairing capability. This means that small scratches can be repaired with a simple process:

  • Dampen a microfiber cloth with warm water.
  • Place the cloth over the scratch.
  • Apply a hot (but not boiling) iron to the cloth for a few seconds, making sure to keep the iron moving to avoid overheating any area.
  • Remove the cloth, and the heat should have allowed the material to "heal" the scratch. If the scratch is still visible, repeat the process.
